Kenya Launches New Community-Based Interventions Programme

Summary
This article reports on the launch of PROACT, a new community-based intervention programme in Kenya designed to strengthen coordination between national, sub-national and civil society organisations to stem radicalisation and extremism. The programme is driven by global best practice but rooted firmly in communities across Kenya. PROACT aims to ground its activities in existing evidence while supporting new research on the ground, and to address COVID-19-related disinformation through grassroots networks.
