Summary
This paper describes the development and implementation of a prison based de-radicalisation programme in Nigeria. The programme was developed from a zero base in terms of policy, programming, staffing, tools and approach. The authors of this paper were part of a technical assistance team that were involved from the beginning of the de- radicalisation programme development in October 2014 through to the end of phase one in April 2016.
