Summary
The world has witnessed tremendous increase in terrorist and violent incidents of amplified intensities in the first decade of the new millennium. Consequently, a rich literature emerged on the causes and consequence of terrorism. Although controversies still exist on the determinants of violence, a consensus is developed among the scholars and policy makers about the adverse consequences of violent incidents for the economy.
